Julia credits her evolving design style after spending many years in Bermuda, the UK and Florida as well as from her close knit design savvy family. In 2008 she settled in Oak Bay, a quaint seaside neighbourhood of Victoria, British Columbia and lives with her three children and Aussie Labradoodle.
Julia appreciates classic, traditional style with a preppy approach and enjoys taking older pieces and transforming them with paint or slipcovers. She also has a love for beautiful pottery, chinoiserie and pillow ticking. Neutrals and fun, colourful patterns make beautiful spaces approachable and liveable. She is up to date and in the know about all things to do with design and decor.
Julia believes that everyone’s homes should be a relaxed, beautiful sanctuary custom to the people that live there and be able to be flexible enough to adjust to the ever changing needs of families. Her warm, friendly demeanor makes the job of transforming homes a pleasant experience. Presently, Julia has worked with over 500 clients in Victoria and throughout various locations in the United States and Canada.
We hired Julia to help us choose paint colours for our new build and we got paint colours and so much more! We were on a tight budget, which Julia was great at keeping to. We absolutely love the colours she picked out and all of the additional suggestions she gave us were incredibly useful (rugs, lighting, furniture placement, etc). We learned from her how to be more creative and bold with our choices. Her choices have really helped our house feel like a home. Our only regret is not bringing her in earlier in the project!
