After many years of living with two outdated bathrooms, we did complete gut renos on a family main floor bathroom and a small master ensuite tucked under the eaves upstairs.
I chose marble and polished nickel fixtures in the main floor bathroom and managed to incorporate a linen cabinet above what is actually the basement stairwell jut out. There are heated basketweave tile floors and a heated towel rack. This Oak Bay home has so many beautiful original details and I believe this character also carries through into the bathroom.
There had been a bathtub and a small pedestal sink prior to the reno with a door that opened inwards taking up valuable space in this tiny bathroom. I chose to reuse the old door but in a barn style slide to allow more space and we were also able to fit a heated towel rack in here. There is a walk in glass shower and all marble tiling. The floors are a favourite of mine. Classic and beautiful.
